Fruit & Flowers Spring Table Centerpiece

Oh how I love a table with beautiful fresh fruit and flowers as a centerpiece. And shopping the kitchen for pretty fruit or vegetables is perfect for creating a unique centerpiece in a snap.

Fruits and Flowers Table

I had so much fun putting this table setting together for my Balsam Hill family. With fresh flowers that are full of spring colors not always available depending on where you live – we are showing just how you can use faux flowers for a beautiful spring inspiration. (Side note: You might remember that I have a collection of faux florals with Balsam Hill – I compared the REAL flowers I designed to the FAUX they created to show how realistic they are – you can see that post HERE . ) It started with one thing that led to another and another and voila- it all came together beautifully.

Note: This table is a low table- I am using an old pallet that we turned into a table- you might recognize it from my book Inspired Gatherings. Even though I used a pallet table – you could easily do this same look on a regular height table or think coffee table for a low table.

what you need

  • Fruit- I used oranges, pears, pomegranates, peaches and grapes.
  • Candles- I used these LED BIRCH CANDLES
  • A bucket of blooms- This bucket of faux flowers is perfect for this table- and it is outdoor safe.

Scattered or stacked on the table

You don’t have to have a very detailed plan of layering and stacking fruits and vegetables to create a centerpiece that has interest and beauty.

It is truly whatever speaks to you and your style. For the cover on my book Inspired Gatherings- it was simply fruit just scattered on the table around the flowers and cake- and it is one of my favorites.

Start with Layers

We just talked about layers in decor in the bedroom- and no surprise, for this centerpiece- it is all about the layers. I am a big fan of layering in all kinds of designs it seems. I used a wooden platform for some height for the fruit and stacked everything on that and on lower cutting boards.

Tuck in the candles

I added the candles mostly on one side of the centerpiece since the pallet isn’t too large. You could of course balance them out on both sides more if you would like to. But the key is adding ambiance- however it works for you and your table.

Place setting details

A wooden slice charger and simple white plates are topped with blush linen napkins and collected flatware tied with a velvet ribbon.

The amber glasses are some of my favorites- I love the warmth they bring to the table.

The Flowers

This big bucket of flowers is such a charmer. It is also an outdoor safe and one of my favorites to have out on the patio. Outdoor safe flowers have gotten a bad rap before- but if you are looking or fuss free flowers- I encourage you to take another look. I love outdoor safe flowers like this one for areas where you want that blooming beauty without the upkeep. Even though it might be outside- it is perfect indoors. Here on the table, I placed it at the end of the fruit and it created a perfect finishing touch for the mix and mingle style centerpiece.

Such a simple and sweet table for gathering with friends or family- and you can set the table for as many as you would like. For a longer table- add more. A second layer of fruit & basket of flowers and spread the candles out a bit further for a longer centerpiece.
